Splash Pad Updates

April 24, 2023 By Friends of PV Leave a Comment

It’s been nearly five years since construction was completed on the Splash Pad. We are continually grateful for those who donated time and resources to provide this asset to our community.

The Splash Pad has been well-used, and we are cooperating with the Alamo Town Board to keep it up and running. We want to recognize Lone Star Pool & Spa who has donated time and supplies to help us with regular maintenance.

While the Splash Pad remains operational, there are some repairs we need to make in the near future. These included fixing valves and lighting, as well as identifying and patching a possible pipe leak.

Additionally, we are working to secure grant funding for a capital improvement project that would build a permanent protective structure around the splash pad pump to help reduce the risk of vandalism and exposure to the elements.

Finally, we’d like to make improvements to the grounds around the splash pad, including adding new picnic tables under the pavilion and bolting down existing benches.

We welcome your support!
