Friends of Pahranagat Valley (Friends of PV) was awarded a grant by Nevada Stake Parks to create a non-motorized trail plan in Pahranagat Valley.
Friends of PV is currently forming a local committee of volunteers who will work with the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA)’s Trail Solutions team to produce a concept plan for a shared-use trail system. This plan will lay the groundwork for future construction designs and the build-out of trails in the valley. The focus of the project is to create a trail system concept that caters to walking, jogging, and mountain biking – promoting healthy lifestyles and enhancing outdoor recreation in the area.
The $40,000 in funding includes a $10,000 match requirement, which will be met through volunteer hours and donations. Those interested in volunteering time for this project may contact Friends of PV. Anyone interested in donating can do so on the Donate page.
