We are thrilled to announce that the Alamo Sports Complex project is taking a major step forward. The project’s goal is to provide more fantastic recreational facilities for our community.
Engineers with Sunrise Engineering have prepared and submitted a preliminary design. The proposed site is on land already owned by Lincoln County, located just east of the existing senior center, at the corner of Box Canyon Street and Pahroc Street.
Planned features include:
- One full-length concrete basketball court
- One concrete tennis court
- Two concrete pickleball courts
- Outdoor lighting for evening play
- Perimeter and court fencing for safety and security
- A new parking area for approximately 8-15 vehicles
- Sidewalks
With the preliminary phase in review, the project will soon move into the Final Design Phase. Over the next few months, the engineers will be developing the final, construction-ready drawings and specifications. We are hoping construction can begin Spring 2026.
The project is being funded through the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA).
We are incredibly excited to move this project forward and bring these wonderful new facilities to the residents of Alamo. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the construction phase!
