About

The purpose of Friends of Pahranagat Valley Corporation is to serve, preserve, and enhance Pahranagat Valley. We are a group of local volunteers who have a desire to improve or add to our unique, rural area. We take pride in our community and captivating valley.

Pahranagat Valley is located in Lincoln County, Nevada. It is approximately 30 miles long, ranging from Hiko in the north to the Federal Wildlife Refuge in the south.

The specific objectives and purpose of this organization are to:

  • Make Pahranagat Valley a priority for government land managers and work with them to accomplish goals of common interest.
  • Promote awareness and education on areas of environmental, geographical and historical interest in Pahranagat Valley for both residents and visitors of the area.
  • Preserve and enhance our rich cultural history through care and display of historical landmarks and artifacts.
  • Work cooperatively with local organizations in the area to provide educational opportunities and improve quality of life for Pahranagat Valley’s residents.
